Your day begins with a scenic 4x4 drive, where you’ll set off on a journey to explore the best birdwatching locations. Whether it’s tidal flats, forests, or foothills, your group will visit the prime spots known for their rich birdlife.

Throughout the day, your expert guide will provide fascinating insights into the local wildlife and bird species, helping you spot even the rarest of birds in their natural environments. With personalised attention, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor the pace and focus of the tour to your specific interests, whether that’s birdwatching or simply soaking in the serene surroundings.

A relaxing lunch at a local restaurant will allow you to enjoy authentic Portuguese cuisine before continuing your birdwatching exploration. From quiet, hidden spots to scenic viewpoints, your guide will ensure that every moment is as enriching as it is exciting.

      Please note
        • Travel time 45 min:  Porto > Litoral North Natural Park / Litoral North Natural Park  > Porto.


        • Take into consideration that the Land Rover is a vintage car, built for the mountains but not for comfort- some parts of the ride can be uncomfortable.
        • Some of the seats of the 4x4 vehicle are not forward-facing, and taller travelers may feel cramped.
        • Being a vintage car the seatbelts are different from modern cars, some seats just have the waist belt.
        • If you suffer from car sickness you should take medication before the tour or bring it with you on the tour.


        • Infant seats are available - children must be accompanied by an adult.
        • Age restriction: 5 to 75 years old.


        • Birdwatching is available all year round. Best season from October to April.
        • The tour may be cancelled/rescheduled: due to bad weather conditions.
        • The plan of the tour can be adjusted based on weather conditions.
        • We have binoculars available. Please let us know in advance if you need them, and we will confirm availability.


        • Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, please advise at time of booking.
        • We need to know in advance any food restriciton or mobility restriction.


        • On the day before the tour we send an email with the final details.


        • Meeting points are accessible by public transportation.
        What to bring
          • Comfortable,  weather appropriate clothing and shoes;
          • Warm clothes, change of clothing and raincoat or jacket (fall and spring);
          • Sunscreen;
          • Snack for mid-morning/afternoon;
          • Water: we encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle!
